To complete the full course you’re going to need a WordPress installation, one WordPress plugin and two FREE online accounts…
If you have your own WordPress hosting you’re good to go (but use a new, clean install of WordPress as we can take no responsibility for you breaking your own sites).
If you don’t have an installation to work with, you can use a site such as TasteWP to create one in less than 10 seconds (yes really!). Services like TasteWP offer a ‘safe’ environment to test WordPress and try out plugins, so they’re perfect for this course! Be sure to check the limitations before you start – For example, when will your free installation expire and how many installations can you have before needing to sign up for a free or paid account?

It would be great if WordPress included ‘out of the box’ features for AI interactions and content-generation, but as it doesn’t (yet) we’ll be using one of the most popular WordPress AI plug-ins, ‘AI Engine’:

If you’d like to review what the plug-in can do before we start, take a look at the meow apps site. You don’t need to download the plug-in yet – We’ll cover that in the video explainer in the next topic.
If you’ve heard of ChatGPT, you may also have heard of the company behind it, Open AI. Open AI offer a number of ‘AI Models’ which are databases trained on many millions of items of data. The AI Engine plug-in must be linked to an Open AI account for its AI features to work. Without a connection, your chatbot won’t be able to respond to questions!
You’ll need your own FREE Open AI account for this course. Have a look at the Open AI site now and create yourself one! You’ll need the Open AI account for lesson four onwards.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if a chatbot could not only provide your visitors with general answers, but also detailed information about your hobby, company, products or event? This is where ’embeddings’ come in, and they require their own special database called a ‘vector’ database. To complete the embeddings lesson you’ll need a FREE Pinecone account. Feel free to create one now so it’s ready to use when you get further into the course.

In the next topic we walk through the above in a video explainer. You can mark this topic as complete if you like – This is just for your reference and you can return to any topic at any time. You need to mark every topic as complete in order for your free PDF certificate to be made available.
