The main steps in this video

  1. Open a Photo:
Go to ‘File’ > ‘Open’, find the photo on your computer, and double-click to open it in PaintShop Pro.
  2. Add Text to the Photo:
The tutorial demonstrates adding “Happy Birthday” text to a photo. Start by selecting the text tool from the toolbar. Click on the photo where you want the top left of your text to start. You can adjust the position later.
  3. Edit the Text:
Once you’ve clicked on the photo, a text toolbar appears at the top. Type your text (e.g., “Happy”). Initially, the text might be very small. Double-click on the text to highlight it for editing. Increase the size and change the font to something more suitable from the options in the toolbar. Press enter and then type the next word (e.g., “Birthday”). The new text will use the same font and size settings.
  4. Position and Resize the Text:
To move the text, click and hold the centre of the text box and drag it to your desired position. You can also resize the text by dragging one of the corners of the text box.
  5. Save the Edited Photo:
After adding and adjusting the text, save your edited photo. Go to ‘File’ > ‘Save As’, give your photo a new, descriptive name for easy future reference, and save it.
