The main steps in this video
1: Open the previous project
2: Add a text title
Right click on an empty area of the existing video track and select ‘Insert video track’. This creates a new, second, empty video track to use for the text title
Move the playhead to where you’d like the title text to appear. Right click on the new video track and select ‘Insert text media’.
Edit the dummy text to be ‘Spring has Sprung’ and adjust the font, font size and colour as needed.
Move and resize the text in the preview window. When you’re happy, close down the ‘media generator’ pop-up window.
The text media behaves just like a video clip, so you can move it and apply fades in the same way.
3: Import background music
Go the the ‘freemusicarchive’ website to select and download a free music track. Note you will usually need a PAID license to use a music track if you will be publishing your video online.
Drag and drop the downloaded music file onto the timeline. An audio track will automatically be created for it.
The music asset behaves in exactly the same way as a video clip or text asset. You can move it, edit it and apply fades as required.
